Attleborough Day Centre 

My mother, Vera, is 93.  Although she still lives in her own home, her mobility has deteriorated and her short term memory is very poor now. She gets very frustrated at her lack of mobility which has impacted badly on her time going out with friends.

Last year she started going to Attleborough Day Centre on a Wednesday. She really enjoys this and looks forward to her day out every week. She now says that she would like to attend on another day when there is a space. She is always much more cheerful after her day at the Centre.

Mum also now has a hot meal delivered every day from the Day Centre because we realised that she was not eating properly and as her carer it was difficult for me to get her a meal every day. She enjoys her meals very much and enjoys seeing whoever delivers the meal. She has been so much brighter since she has been receiving the meals and I now know that she is having a nutritious meal every day.

We would miss the meals and the Day Centre very much if these services were not available and my mother’s mental health would certainly suffer without her visits and the regular meals.
